Members Helping Members - Working, Sharing, Contributing

Hey Gang! We're looking at "Content" for our Small Biz Training Podcasts/Webinars for 2009. So...

What's your three Biggest Challenges you foresee for your biz in 2009?

We'd like to address these challenges and help pick them OFF one by one, during the first quarter of the year.

Email me here or post. We'll pick the best topics and make sure we get EOK members the info needed to win-out in 2009 (regardless of the so-called "lousy" economy!).

Happy TG!

Hello there Dr. Scot,
I am new to the group and already think this is an awesome site.
So here are a couple of challenges of mine. First I am involved with a terrific business web site in another town about 45 miles from here were I live. I frequent Knoxville out of business necessity. OK I have fun in Knoxville as well :-) and I do a great deal of business here.
Here is one challenge. My local business networking web site doesn't rock like this one at all! Given the site is so new it is just a few months old. People are very, slow to even put their pictures up or use the templates to create a page. So far the site has about 110 members. Now I also am piggy backing off of this site and am facilitating a weekly meeting on Tuesdays called ExperTz Business Networking which is going nicely and brandnew. I am very much sharing that we can combine online and face to face to create empowered business relationships that give solid referrals to each other. That's another story for another time.
I admit I am one motivated person that can understand how wonderful these web sites are and will gladly and gratefully enjoy the privilege of using them. Plus introduce others of like mind to them to help them grow.
I would appreciate ideas on waking people up and attracting them to my page and to get them to respond to blogs without bugging them to death. I have pretty much duplicated my page on to this site but have not added much on events or blogs.
Next I have a wonderful E Commerce Eco Friendly Internet business that is not duplicated by anyone in this area as of yet that I want to separate from the pack so to speak and would really appreciate people taking a look at my page and giving me a candid opinion of what they feel I could do differently if anything. I want to know that someone can read what is on it and have an idea but yet have curiosity about it to want to know more.
And I agree with Tina, learning to use social media to grow our businesses would be an awesome topic.
Looking forward to connecting with all of you folks regardless of the so-called "lousy" economy!
Yours in Creating a Better Life.

How to use social media marketing to grow your business would be a good topic for discussion.

I'm wondering if any of you have an interest in doing a regular website critique program. We've got some internet marketing and design experts. You would bring us your website and we would have people critique it - offering suggestions on how to improve it for design and marketability. What do you guys think.

Hey Shawn! Great topics! Automated processes will be one of our Webinars... Go online and check out InfusionSoft.com Greatest automated CRM system ever. We own a license for it, and can make it available quite inexpensively to EOK members. One of the coolest "low-cost" marketing plans only requires a biz card, a 1-800 number, and a "Free Report." Maybe we can go over all that on one of our upcoming broadcasts.

1) An easy to implement, low cost marketing plan. Something that I (as a one man shop) can produce or have produced relatively cheap but look very professional...and implement and distributed regularly...by an automated process.
That may be asking too much :0)

2) Finding people or projects with available funding. With no more banks...who has the money?

3) Insurance costs
