My business is growing to the point where I can't answer the phone if I am in meetings. If I am not in meetings, I cant make money. If I am in meetings, I cant answer the phone. I am looking at getting a local shared receptionist. Anyone know of a service of a shared receptionist that answers the phone with your businesses branding?

I understand completely. I don't have a great solution; I use my property manager for my other businesses. I pay her an hourly rate to handle DBR Systems business and Bright Software business.

There is a company called PhonePeople (www.phonepeople.com) that offers a program utilizing an 800 number that allows you to have your clients call a toll free number which is then automatically forward to a receptionist's phone. There is a monthly fee that ranges from $10 a month and up, depending on the number of monthly minutes you want/need.

A client that I work for uses this program so that I am able to answer calls with their branding. With this program you are able to set up extensions for a certain number of people. You are given an 800 number (or you can use an exsisting one if you have it.) to give out to your clients. When a call comes in it is directed to the main greeting. From there they will choose from the directory the extention they want and the call will be forward to that person's personal phone. The caller ID will show up PhonePeople so the receiver will know that it is a business call and answer it as required.
