I am currently working as Recruitment Director with Knoxville Overground (KO). KO and EOK have been "siblings" since the beginning, and we have many members that are also active in EOK. KO manages a co-working community center (where the EOK meetings used to be held before) in Sequoia Hills. We also host a weekly LIVE PODCAST called "Lunch 2.0" that features the hottest local startups who have raised $100K+ in capital.
KO is in the process of putting together a curriculum for all levels of entrepreneurs, from "Freshman" to "Senior" and beyond. We are also creating a workshop series that will help small business, work-life balance, or some other area that is beneficial to our innovative entrepreneur community, here in East Tennessee.
I also design one of a kind, handmade, Asian-inspired fabric baby carriers called TWILLI PIE podegi.
I am learning the ropes of staffing/recruiting. I love the idea of working with HUMAN CAPITAL!
AND I am creative director & co-founder for Dominant Paradigm, a small design and internet consulting firm. Due to many career direction changes, Dominant Paradigm is currently mostly inactive. But we are working on a renaissance. :-)
My name is Renee Holiday. I am glad to be back in Knoxville (Oak Ridge) after 7 years in South Florida.
I am a quintessential DESIGNER. I've always loved all things related to color, design, texture, etc.. I have a formal background in graphic design and web design/development. But back injuries have caused me to shift my career direction. I am now learning the ropes of the staffing/recruiting biz, in addition to my other interests.
I have a 15 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.
What role would you play in a startup?
Marketing, Visionary, Designer

I have my own company now going on my 13th year. I do mostly commercial and industrial work such as environmental assessments and remediation. I have done some consulting subcontract work out in the Oak Ridge arena and know quite a few people out there.
Are you familiar with Paper Tiger? I did not make the meeting this morning. I saw the limited seating note and because the subject was not that interesting or relevant to me I decided to let someone else have my seat. I will try to make the next meeting.
Can I get help for my business?: Yes. We have a team of successful entrepreneurs who can mentor you and help you start up a business, or help you make more money with your current business. Contact Laurel Bowen, 865-257-1364 for more information, or click here for the form for our Virtual Incubator program.
