What do you do?

I am a speech pathologist who helps professionals with a foreign accent or regional dialect that interferes with their communication and ability to advance in their career. I work with them to modify the way they produce certain sounds so their speech is easier to understand and sounds more like standard English.

Who are you? Tell us a little about you...

Lisa Scott is a nationally certified speech pathologist with 20 years' experience in solving communication issues for children and adults. She has a Bachelor's Degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and a Master's Degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She also holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech- Language and Hearing Association and is a certified instructor of the Compton P-ESL Accent Modification program.
