- What do you do?
- I am an Engineer for Siemens Molecular Imaging.
My hobbies include 1) process improvemnts and cost reduction projects for small operations/ buisnesses (non-Siemens related), 2) gutting homes, offices, and anything non-biological, 3) playing chess, and 4) at the moment, riding motorcycles.
- Who are you? Tell us a little about you...
- Cain Wooten is, in order, a Christian, a husband, a father, a technical manager, a scientist/ engineer, and a designer, with the hope of being a business owner and possibly an educator. My goals are to mature and to grow as a Christian, a husband, a father, and in my vocation.
Vocationally, I am a technical manager with a passion for science, engineering, and operations (processes and systems). Within my vocation, I prefer variety over routine, thinking over feeling, extraverted people over introverted, acting vs. committee decisions, assertiveness over aggressiveness, and teaching over training. I enjoy individual contributions as much as teamwork, and competing as much as cooperating.To re-energize or recharge, I like to spend time alone reflecting and thinking versus being with a group of people.
When I am working, I lose track of time when I am transforming anything’s state from disorder to order, performing calculations, studying (science, engineering, and math), applying science and/ or engineering to analyze and to creatively solve real world problems.
When I am not working, I lose time when I listen to music, play chess, participate in art, work on small repair projects, playing soccer, swimming, watching movies, camping, going on vacations, riding bikes or motorcycles, and searching for small businesses to buy. :)
I have degrees in chemistry, math, and engineering management. My work experience has been centered on materials science, engineering, and manufacturing operations. I always seem to manage small teams, lead projects, and help influence and cultivate change within organizations.
