How did you find EOK?

What do you do?
I help people sell stuff.

Right now, my bread and butter is freelance copywriting. I've got experience writing everything from one-page ads to full-length book manuscripts. I'm still putting content on my website, Neededwriter.com, up and going—a prime example of the cobbler's children having no shoes.

Much of my recent work has been helping my clients develop their online businesses with SEO, traffic generation, and social media strategy.

I've organized a team of freelancers—it's called Bright Newt—so that when my clients need top-notch design, web development, branding, or photography, they can still trust one person to take care of all the details. This way, those who can't afford the overhead of a traditional firm have access to great talent and can develop a marketing strategy with all the different components working in concert.

Let me know if you'd like to become a part of this creative network—the bigger our pool of contacts, the better the value to all of our prospective clients.

Long term: I'm excited about the possibility of taking one of my blogs, gu.e (pronounced “goo”), and expanding it into a tribe of people who share their best anecdotes, absurdities, and irreverent banter. I could say a lot more, but I'd rather get together and have a conversation over coffee.
Where can we find you on the web?

Who are you? Tell us a little about you...
I am a poet, writer, runner, avid flyfisherman, advertiser, and marketer. Most of my family lives in Nashville. I stayed in Knoxville because I fell in love with the city. Knoxville listens to young professionals in a way that many cities don't. I want to contribute to Knoxville's brain gain and see transformative ideas take root here.

Welcome to EOK, Austin! Glad you found us! Yeah, I need to drop that Greeting Cards profile question...it used to make sense but the 3rd party app we were using went out of business. Take a look around and get to know some people...check the FAQ section for getting started tips. ~Leo

Secrets for Entrepreneurs

The secret to entrepreneurial success is simple:

Look for gaps in different industries and sectors of the business world. Think of possible solutions—the means by which you can fill these gaps. Snoop around and see if anybody else has noticed the same gap. Research these competitors and then offer a solution with superior performance, a lower price, or a better value.

Always keep in mind, price and value are two different animals.
